The 66th Annual SBPC Meeting will be held from July 22nd to July 27th 2014 at the Federal University of Acre, in Rio Branco, Brazil. The theme for this edition is “SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY IN AN AMAZON WITHOUT BORDERS”.
This edition features some new elements:
Date: Program will start on Tuesday (22) evening, with an Opening Session, and will end on Sunday (27).

Family in Science Day: This new activity will take place during the weekend. Program will be available closer to the event date.
Indigenous SBPC: Scientific program will include discussions around the indigenous universe, such as “Indigenous Education and Science”, “Indigenous Health”, as well as rituals and music performances by indigenous people from Brazil, Bolivia and Peru.
Partner Societies: We will bring together the main scientific associations from The United States, China, Europe, and India, as well as reputed researchers from Latin America, to participate in discussions on themes that impact scientific policies. Among the institutions invited are: the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), the Chinese Association for Sciences and Technology (CAST), the European Association for the Promotion of Science and Technology (EuroScience), and the Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA).
Mini-workshops: Participants who register for the Meeting will be able to register for a mini-workshop without any additional cost.
As was the case in previous years, entrance is free for all activities of the meeting, except for mini-workshops: conferences, panels, meetings, poster sessions, cultural activities (Cultural SBPC), activities for high school or technical school students (SBPC Youth) and exhibitions (ExpoT&C).
